This aim is achieved by considering the distribution of Mallophaga on various bird taxa. These groups included: Struthioniformes (Ostriches); Rheiformes (Rheas), Casuariformes (Cassowaries, Emus); Apterygiformes (Kiwis); Tinamiformes (Tinamous); Sphenisciformes (Penguins); Gaviiformes (Divers); Procerllariiformes (Petrels); Pelecaniformes (Pelicans, Gannets, Cormorants and Fregate birds); Ciconiiformes (Herons, Storks, Ibises and allies); Anseriformes (Ducks, Geese, Swans and Screamers); Falconiformes (birds of prey); Galliformes (Gamebirds and Hoatzins); Columbiformes (Sandgrouse, Pigeons and Doves); Gruiformes (Cranes Rails and allies); Charadriiformes (Waders, Gulls, and Auks); Psittaciformes (Parrots); Cuculiformes (Plantain-eaters and Cuckoos); Strigiformes (Owls); Caprimulgiformes (Nightjars); Coliiformes (Colies); and finally Apodiformes, Trogoniformes, Coraciiformes, Piciformes, Passeriformes.</style></notes><custom2><style face="normal" font="default" size="100%">pdf</style></custom2></record></records></xml>
