The following taxa are considered from their type host Nothura boraquira: Heptapsogaster dilatus Heptapsogaster boraquirae sp. n. Heptapsogaster boultoni sp. n. Strongylocotes tinnami In addition Clay shows for the first time that the genus Nirmocotes are in fact immature specimens of Strongylocotes. Clay reviews the synonymy of the species in the genera Nirmocotes and Strongylocotes. Taxa covered are as follows: Strongylocotes orbicularis (=Nirmocotes orbicularis); Strongylocotes glabrous (=Nirmocotes glabrous, Nirmocotes orbicularis?, &amp; Strongylocotes paucisetosus); Strongylocotes complanatus complanatus (=Goniodes complanatus, &amp; Nirmocotes nirmoides); Strongylocotes cordiceps (=Nirmocotes cordiceps) and Strongylocotes wernecki (=Strongylocotes wernecki [?] &amp; Strongylocotes latithorax).
