During this period, 54 hares were examined for lice, 5 of them (11%) were found to be infested with lice and a total of 41 lice specimens were collected from the infested hares. Two species; Haemodipsus lyriocephalus (Burmeister, 1838) and H. setoni Ewing, 1924 were identified and H. lyriocephalus was more abundant that H. setoni.&lt;/p&gt;
