These louse species are congruent with a trend of open-country songbirds being parasitised by species of Brueelia, whereas humid-forest songbirds are generally parasitised by species of Guimaraesiella. Other examples of this trend are discussed.&lt;/jats&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
