Abstract:

The principal object of the present catalogue has been to give a complete list of all the Anoplura, or Parasitic Insects, that have been recorded as found in Great Britain and Ireland, indicating those species that are contained in the collection, and those which are wanting in it. The arrangement followed is that used in Mr Denny's 'Anoplura Britannica,' 8vo, 1942. The British Museum posseses the type specimens described and fihgured by that author, who has devoted so much of his attention to the study of these animals.
