Abstract:

A detailed morphological study of a new species of the genus Heleonomus has been described and illustrated, with respect to the taxonomically important characters and male and female genitalia features. It is a new record of the genus Heleonomus in Pakistan from common crane, Grus grus (Gruiformes: Gruidae) and the H. adnani n. sp. has also been compared with H. macilentus (Nitzsch).
