Abstract:

The genus Scolpaceps Eichler and Zlotorzycka, 1964 and the species S. ambiguus (Burmeister, 1838) are recorded for the first time in Spain. Morphological differences within the genera Cummingsiella Ewing 1930, Quadraceps Clay and Meinertzhargen, 1939 and Saemundssonia Timmermann, 1935 are established by means of the study of the species of those genera. A redescription, measurements and data about the geographical distribution of the species are given. S, ambiguus (Burm., 1838) is compared and related to species, S. aureus (Hopkins, 1949) and S. brelihi (Timm., 1969).
