Abstract:

Forty-two species of Mallophaga and four of Anoplura are recorded from Antarctica. Birds occuring in the area are known to be hosts to at least 60 species of Mallophaga. Keys are presented to all of these. Also included are hosts and locality records, some notes on synonymy, and a list of Antarctic birds and mammals with the species of lice which parasitise them.
