Abstract:

Pediculosis is an illness that have had been known since the remotest times until the days of today, being considered a Public Health serious problem in all Americas. Lice are blood-sucking insects and specific parasites of human beings: Pediculus humanus capitis, head lice; Pediculus humanus corporis, body lice and Phthirus pubis,pubic lice. The article is going to show aspects tied to louse, suches: biology, distribution, clinical manifestation and diagnosis. Beyond, of some controls that have been used in Brazil, like: chemical, homemade and educational control.
