| Abstract: | This study allowed the identification of the lice parasitising Gallus gallus and their prevalence in poultry farms situated in urban and suburban areas of the city of Bahía Blanca, Buenos Aires Province, Argentina. The species recorded, in decreasing order of prevalence were: Menacanthus stramineus, (Nitzsch, 1818), Menopon gallinae (Linnaeus, 1758), Lipeurus caponis (Linnaeus., 1758), and Goniocotes gallinae (De Geer, 1778). |
