| Abstract: | This paper deals with the description of Gyropus recifensis n, sp. (Mallophaga-Gyropidae) parasite of Cavia cobaya which differs from G. ovalis in the presence of a curved spine like process in the external side of each Parameral piece of the genitalia (see fig. 1). The others morphological characteristics are like G. ovalis Nitzsch. |
