| Abstract: | In this paper the A. studies the Mallophaga found on Opisthocomus hoazin, and concludes that they cannot remain in the genera in which they were first included. Three new genera are established for the reception of the four known species and the new one described: Opisthcomiella with O. macropoda n. sp. as genotype and including O. curta (Burmeister, 1838), Pessoaiella with P. absitta (Kellogg, 1910) as genotype and Hoazineus with H. armiferum (Kellogg, 1910) as genotype. Laemobothrium opisthocomi described by Cummings in 1913 is transfered to Eulaemobothrium. |
