Coproica ferruginata.

Abstract: Literary data are given on phoresia of bird lice and lice on louse flies and horn flies. Sueh finds are unusual on nonbloodsucking flies. In order to study parasite fauna of agricultural ani- mals cattle breeding housings were inspected in the Donetsk region. Some thousands of flies were caught of which about 800 specimens belonged to Coproica ferruginata. A male of Polyplax spi- nulosa, a louse typical to rats, was found on one fly of this species. Such find is explained by the abundance of Norway rats (Rattus norvegicus) in inspected housings.
