Phthiraptera collection: 

One of the largest collections of parasitic lice in the world, with approximatly 70,000 slide mounted specimens and an extensive collection of associated materail.

Holdings:

Systematic coverage: 
Particularly strong coverage of Amblycera and Ischnocera. The Anoplura collection is substantial but less complete, compared to the major groups of chewing lice.
Host coverage: 
Excellent coverage of Afro-Eurasian hosts. Good coverage in other regions and their endemic hosts.
Collectors/taxonomists: 
Clay, Hopkins, Balter, Meinertzhagen, Waterston among others. Includes several historic collections including Denny and Piaget.
