Abstract:

here are 4 species of sucking lice of hamsters (Rodentia: Cricetidae) belonging to the genus Polyplax, namely: P. calomysci Kim and Enerson 1971, P. dentaticornis Ewing, 1935, P. qiuae Chin 1993, and P. plesia Johnson 1960, Each has a host of different genus. A fifth species, described in this paper was collected off Cricetulus longicaudatus from Qinghai. A key is provided for separating .these species.
