Abstract:

A specimen of Lypotigris reginalis (Stoll) (Lepidoptera: Pyralidae) is reported from Vaca Key. This appears to be only the second record of this species from the Florida Keys. St. Andrew's cotton stainer, Dysdercus andreae (L.) (Hemiptera: Pyrrhocoridae), numbers on Vaca Key were greatly reduced following the Hurricane Wilma storm surge. A specimen of an undescribed louse parasite of Key deer was found being carried phoretically by a female black salt marsh mosquito.
