Samenvatting
Besmetting met hoofdluis, kleerluis en schaamluis wordt gekenmerkt door jeuk met papels en krabeffecten, aanwezigheid van neten (luizeneieren) aan de haarschachten en eventueel zichtbare aanwezigheid van de luizen tussen de haren, op de huid of in de kleren van de patiënt. Het zijn de luizen zelf – en niet de neten – die de klachten veroorzaken.

Infection with head lice, body lice and pubic lice is characterized by itching with papules and scratching effects, presence of nits (lice eggs) on the hair shafts and possibly visible presence of lice between the hair, on the skin or in the patient's clothes. It is the lice themselves - and not the nits - that cause the complaints.
