Abstract:

This paper reports the first record of the leopard cat louse Felicola siamensis Emerson, 1964 from China, and provides a redescription of the species based on specimens collected from the western slope of Mount Cangshan in Dali, Yunnan Province. This discovery increases the number of known species of the family Trichodectidae in China from 21 to 22. In addition, we provide an updated checklist of the Trichodectidae from China and discuss the biological and ecological information available for F. siamensis.
