Published Taxon Remarks:
Holotype female and allotype male originally described from a museum skin of Steller’s sea lion pup, Eumetopias jubata by Dr. David Starr Jordan, with no collection data (presumably Alaska), and deposited in the Ferris Collection, Department of Entomology, University of California, Berkeley.
