Published Taxon Remarks:
This record from Nigeria either represents a new geographic record for the host or its misidentification because F. isabella has only been recorded from Cameroon, Central African Republic, and Congo (Hoffmann et al., 1993: 427); it is unknown from Nigeria (Rosevear, 1969; Happold, 1987). We have not seen the specimen from which the type louse was obtained. [ex. Durden, L. A., Musser, G. G. 1994. Bulletin of the American Museum of Natural History 218: 1-90]
Reference Title:
Two new species of sucking lice (Anoplura: Hoplopleuridae) from Nigeria
Taxon Citation Remarks:
Citation information points to the most recent interpretation of the taxon name (not the original, which is absent from the sucking louse checklist).
